The Johannes Beilharz KG Company founded in 1938 emerged from the Gebrüder Beilharz company, a prosperous agricultural machine trading company. In its early days, the young company was initially a manufacturer of rough grinding mills, washing machines and handcarts under its well-known "Forward" brand name.

With its expertise in woodworking, the Company has specialised in the construction of wooden residential houses in the course of time. Additional focus areas have been metal finishing and, in the fifties, plastics processing and electronic manufacturing. The Company has acquired an excellent market position with these four main pillars and was able to benefit successfully from the economic boom of the post-war period.

A road cart - a transporting device, snow clearing and gritting device all in one - prepared the way to the rapidly increasing market for road equipment. The Johannes Beilharz KG Company has captured a leading international market position by means of its newly patented delineator for roads. This "wedge-type delineator" is an unmatched product to this day.

Since 2008 the Beilharz GmbH & Co. KG – a family-owned enterprise – is managed by the fourth generation. The Company has become the leading supplier for Road Directorates by continuously extending its product range – and this does not only apply to Germany. The Company offers quality through one-stop shopping, with its gritting material warehouses, parking lot equipment, snow fences, anti-glare screen systems and protective devices for amphibia.
